A small firm, by design.

Motomeru is a Japanese word meaning to seek or to pursue. What we seek is wisdom, whatever form it takes. It has traditionally been found at the top of the mountain, and the way up is patient: look carefully, ask the next question, and report what is actually there.

Jordan Hiebert, BBA, CFA

Co-Founder and Principal

Jordan has reviewed hundreds of offering memoranda and has a deep working knowledge of how private market offerings are structured in Canada: fee stacks, waterfalls, redemption terms, valuation policy and disclosure.

He reads a private offering the way an operator would, not from a quantitative or public-market starting point. He has been involved in large development and construction projects, worked closely with in-house counsel on structuring and disclosure, and has exposure to regulators and international markets.

Clients get plain commentary on trade-offs and risk from someone who understands how the underlying business has to perform for the structure to work.
